Having a vehicle means that you will want to take care of it. This can help keep it lasting as long as possible when you own it. Make sure to bring the vehicle in for proper maintenance inspections so that the parts and components are working efficiently and at top performance levels. If you ever notice anything out of the norm with the vehicle, make sure to bring it in as soon as possible. This way the part can be repaired or replaced. There are some important things that will need to be checked on your vehicle regularly. This includes the fluid levels, tires, as well as brake system. Keeping these parts maintained can help you to have a safe and reliable ride when you drive.

Regular Maintenance Inspections are Needed

We all know the motor oil should be changed every 3,000 miles or six months. But did you know about everything else that needs upkeep? The driver’s manual should have a complete service schedule that should be followed. Things like flushing the transmission fluid, changing the spark plugs, and replacing belts are all included. Following that schedule will stretch out the life of your car. If you are unsure when to bring your vehicle in for the inspections, make sure to contact us. We can advise you on when the parts should be inspected.

Check the Fluid Levels in your Vehicle

The levels in this case would be fluids and air pressure. Just because you are changing your oil every 3,000 miles, does not mean there will not be an occasional problem. Your motor oil is the most important fluid the car needs. When that happens, things break down. There are other fluid indicators like power steering fluid and radiator levels which you should check along with the oil. Also make sure to check the air pressure in the tires. This fluid and air pressure check should be done once a week and can be accomplished in the same amount of time it takes you to fill up your car with gas, give or take a few minutes. Of course, if any of the fluids are low do not hesitate to have them filled up.

Drive your Car Carefully

Make sure to adjust some driving habits you might have. By doing so, you can increase the productivity of the vehicle and help it to last longer. If it is carrying around extra pounds you are going to force the engine to work harder. This does not mean you cannot load up and haul things. Just do not keep them in the car all the time. Unloading extra weight will reduce engine strain and help you to keep rolling along. Anything you do not need to haul around in the trunk should be removed. Also make sure to drive at the posted speed limit. This can help to save on fuel mileage when you drive. It will also increase the life of the tires on your vehicle. If you ever notice an issue or a part that is wearing, make sure to contact us. This will help you to have a comfortable ride when you drive.
