There can be noises that your vehicle makes when you drive. Sometimes it may be a noise based on the type of road you are currently driving on. If you drive on a gravel road, you may notice the vehicle hits bumps a little differently, and may make noise different than driving on tar. The noise of driving on dirt and gravel can be typical, but there are other noises you should be aware of. These noises will be a clunk, grind, or squealing sound. They will indicate an issue for your vehicle, that you should have inspected as soon as possible by us.

Noises under the Hood

There can be noises that you might hear that come from under the hood. These can be indication that something has become loose or is near failing. With age, sometimes the battery can become loose. If the vehicle is difficult to start, the connections may not be properly connected. If they are not connected, it can cause the battery to be loose fitting in there as well. You might hear a clunking noise from under the hood. You will also want to check the belts and hoses under the hood as well. If they are starting to fail, then they can be the culprit of the noise as well.

Brake Noises

Brakes can make a squealing noise for a few different reasons. The first is that the brakes might be wet. If the noise does not quit after you have been driving for awhile, you will want to bring the vehicle in so we can inspect it for you. The brakes can also make a squealing noise once the brake pads have worn down and the brake rotors are having direct contact with metal to metal. This will cause the brake rotors to wear and warp as well. If you notice this noise, make sure to bring the vehicle in so we can inspect it for you.
