Having the fluids checked, changed, or flushed can help decrease the chance of an issue. You will also want to be aware of any issues that you notice between the regular visits.
Keeping the Vehicle Cool
The coolant is important so that the vehicle does not overheat. When you keep an eye on the temperature gauge, you will notice when the engine is starting to run too hot. If it is increasing to the red and getting high, there are some steps you can do. The first thing is to turn off the air conditioner of your vehicle. Then turn on the heater of your vehicle. This will help to remove the heat from the engine so it can cool down. You will also want to open the windows of your vehicle so the heat can escape the cabin too. If the vehicle is still overheating, you will want to pull it over when it is safe to do so. Turn off the engine and let it sit for awhile to cool down.

Also be aware if you notice steam coming from under the hood of the vehicle, you will want to pull over the vehicle quickly and turn the engine off. Pop the hood of the vehicle so the heat can escape and the engine can cool down faster. When it stops, you will want to start the vehicle again to see how it reacts. If the temperature gauge is normal and not overheating, you can continue driving the vehicle.
