Never Ignore a Dashboard Warning Light

The vehicle will always need to be in the most efficient condition possible. Regular maintenance inspections will help to ensure that the vehicle can be working in the best condition it can be. During the winter, you will also want to make sure to adjust some driving habits you have. This should include the speed at which you drive. Slowing down is important because you may have to encounter roads that are snow or ice covered. Make sure to warm the car up so you can get the oil and other fluids moving before you drive. You should also be aware of the dashboard warning lights for the your vehicle. If one of them illuminates, make sure to be aware of what it might be. Brake System Warning light

One light that might turn on is the brake system light. This could indicate that there an issue with your brake system in one way or another. The parking brake may be on, and then causes the light to illuminate. It could also mean that there is a problem with the overall braking system, like the brake fluid is low. If this is the case, you will want to replace the fluid level to the recommended amount. Having the brake system light illuminate could also mean a problem with the ABS.
