Pressure in Each Tire and Where to Find it

by | Oct 25, 2019 | Fall, Fall inspection, Road Trips, Tire

Pressure

The recommended pressure for each tire should always be at the proper amount. When the air pressure is low, your vehicle will start to show signs of issues and problems. This is why it is important to have the correct amount of air pressure in them. If the vehicle pulls in one direction or the other, then the tire could be low on air. You will want to make sure that you notice that way it pulls. That would be the side that the tire is low on. When the roads are in less than ideal condition, a vehicle with poor handling can increase the chance of an accident.

Checking Pressure in Each Tire

You will want to check the tire pressure recommendation by looking at the driver’s door. Inside the doorjamb you will find a sticker that will recommend the psi that the tires should be at. Do not always go by the amount on the sidewall for the tire. This could be incorrect, depending on the type of vehicle you have. Having the best condition and comfort, always check what the vehicle manufacturer says. You can also check the owner’s manual for the vehicle to see what it says as well. If you are ever uncertain, make sure to contact us and we can advise you on the amount.

Also be aware of when you check the air pressure. You will want the vehicle to sit for awhile before you check the air pressure. This way you will get the most accurate reading from the tires. If you check the air pressure right after driving, it will give you a false reading. When checking the air pressure, also remember to check the condition of the tires in general. This will help you to notice signs of any issues that might be there. It will also help keep you safe on the road.
