Knowing what conditions the tires are in is important. By following regular maintenance inspections, you can help ensure the performance for the tires. You will want to make sure that the appropriate amount of air pressure is in each one. Doing so will help them to be efficient. When they have the correct air pressure, you will help with the longevity of the tires as well. If you are not sure what should be inspected for the tires, make sure to contact us. We can advise you on a schedule so the tires are always properly inspected and maintained.

Knowing when to check tires

When checking the tires, make sure to check the tread. Knowing what the tread condition is will help ensure a pleasant driving experience. As the tread gets worn down, you will notice that the vehicle slides or pulls in one direction. When roads are wet or slick, the handling of the vehicle will be poor. Make sure to bring the vehicle in so we can check the tread of each tire. To help keep the tread wearing evenly, tire rotations may be needed. Another thing to help is having the tires aligned. This way the tread can wear equally.

You will also want to check the tires for any issues with the air pressure in each tire. When the tires are under inflated, they can be more likely to blow out when driving. Check to make sure the tires are not over inflated either. If they are, they can be more likely to pick up sharp objects on the road as you drive. A tire that loses air pressure often could have something stuck like a nail. You will also want to have it inspected and repaired as soon as possible. If you ignore the problem, it will only become worse. This increases your chance of an accident happening. So make sure to bring the vehicle in for proper tire maintenance.
